All On 4 Technique

Known as the All-on-4 technique, this new and innovative approach secures a full arch of artificial teeth in the jaw without the need for individual screws. Usually it involves the placement of four strategically placed implants, hence the name ‘All-on-4’. The implants are placed in such a way that they form a stable and sturdy base for the arch of teeth to be attached to. This procedure uses state-of-the-art technology such as 3D x-rays and surgical planning software to ensure absolute precision and accuracy. With an All-on-4 treatment, patients benefit from an immediate implant-supported restoration, as a provisional prosthesis is screwed onto the implants right after surgery. Final solutions for All-on-4 treatments include both fixed prostheses, such as NobelProcera Implant Bridge Titanium with acrylic veneering, or individual NobelProcera crowns cemented to the bridge framework, and removable solutions, such as acrylic overdentures on a NobelProcera Implant Bar Overdenture.

Planning with Guide treatment concept

All-on-4 treatments can be planned and performed using the Guide treatment concept, ensuring accurate diagnostics, planning and implant placement. The Guide Software allows for detailed diagnostics such as identification of available bone, virtual implant placement according to the anatomical situation and prosthetic needs, and ordering of an individualized surgical template. Guide supports minimally invasive flapless techniques as well as surgical access through mini-flaps and full flaps, while the surgical template ensures guided and therefore exact implant placement

Stability even in minimum bone volume

By tilting the two posterior implants, longer implants can be used in minimum bone volume, increasing bone-to-implant contact and reducing the need for vertical bone augmentation. The tilted posterior implants can be anchored in better quality anterior bone, reducing cantilevers and thus improving support of the prosthesis.

Step 1

Consultation with your specialist

At your initial consultation in Rothwell, we will examine your teeth and gums and take x-rays of your mouth. Patients need to have healthy gums and sufficient jawbone to support the dental implants.

Simple Steps to Dental Implants

Dental implant surgery

On the day of your dental implant surgery, you will come to Trinity Dental in Rothwell where we will make you feel comfortable.
You will be given a local anaesthetic to numb the area of your mouth.

The titanium dental implant will then be gently inserted into your gum. 

Step 3

Healing period

For your dental implants to be successful, your mouth and gums are left to heal so that the dental implants can fuse with the jawbone.

This is a vital part of the process and can take between 2 and 6 months.

Step 4

Fitting of Bespoke Restoration

Once we are satisfied that your dental implants have fused to your jawbone and that your gums have healed, we will invite you back to Trinity Dental where we will fit your bespoke crown or bridge. This will be made specially to fit the gap in your mouth and will be colour matched to your other teeth.

Your dental implant journey is now complete, and you can show off your new smile.

What are dental implants in Northamptonshire?

A dental implant acts as a substitute tooth root and is made up of three parts – the implant, which is embedded gently into your jawbone, the abutment which fixes onto the implant and the final piece is the crown which is the new replacement tooth and is visible when you smile.
