Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Invisalign® is a revolutionary orthodontic treatment system that can straighten your teeth and correct issues with your bite without the use of braces.
The aligners are made of a transparent plastic material, custom-fit to your teeth, using advanced medical imaging technology. We can upload your 3D intra-oral scans to the manufacturer’s ClinCheck® software, which allows your dentist to map out your treatment plan from beginning to end.
Not only will ClinCheck provide your dentist with all the information they need to produce your aligners, but you can see a detailed visual representation of how your teeth will look once the treatment is complete.
The length of treatment depends on several factors that are unique to each patient. It can take 12-18 months depending on the individual, but it is possible to get a straighter, whiter smile in as little as 4 months at Banning Dental Clinics.
You may have heard of discount aligners that are available to buy online. It’s important to know that the purchase of generic invisible braces does not fix your teeth alone. It’s a complex treatment plan, supported by our highly skilled orthodontists who assess your individual case, produce your aligners, and advise how to use them correctly to realise their full potential.
It’s also important to note that aligners are not manufactured the same way. We only use Invisalign® aligners, which we consider to be the very best on the market.
Our advanced capabilities are enhanced by exceptional state-of-the-art technology and industry-leading equipment, allowing us to create beautiful, healthy smiles for our patients. We are even able to transform very complicated, multi-disciplinary cases with invisible aligners, using specialised accessories for treatments previously only possible with traditional braces.
If you have been told you are not an Invisalign® candidate, we encourage you to book a consultation at one of our practices and continue this conversation with us.
At Banning Dental Group we are proud to offer the lowest-priced Invisalign in the UK, without compromise.
Our prices includes a free consultation, teeth whitening, and a comprehensive ITERO 3D scan allowing you to see your Smile Transformation before committing to treatment.
Our packages offer a level of quality and value you won’t find elsewhere. Combined with available finance plans you can spread the cost of your treatment to suit your needs.

Known as the All-on-4 technique, this new and innovative approach secures a full arch of artificial teeth in the jaw without the need for individual screws. Usually it involves the placement of four strategically placed implants, hence the name ‘All-on-4’. The implants are placed in such a way that they form a stable and sturdy base for the arch of teeth to be attached to. This procedure uses state-of-the-art technology such as 3D x-rays and surgical planning software to ensure absolute precision and accuracy. The surgery is quick, too, so you don’t have to spend hours in the dental chair. In fact, you can walk out with your new smile right after the appointment!
Thanks to advances in implant dentistry, restorative techniques have become even more patient-friendly and fuss-free than before.

Prosthetic flexibility
With an All-on-4 treatment, patients benefit from an immediate implant-supported restoration, as a provisional prosthesis is screwed onto the implants right after surgery. Final solutions for All-on-4 treatments include both fixed prostheses, such as NobelProcera Implant Bridge Titanium with acrylic veneering, or individual NobelProcera crowns cemented to the bridge framework, and removable solutions, such as acrylic overdentures on a NobelProcera Implant Bar Overdenture.
Planning with Guide treatment concept
All-on-4 treatments can be planned and performed using the Guide treatment concept, ensuring accurate diagnostics, planning and implant placement. The Guide Software allows for detailed diagnostics such as identification of available bone, virtual implant placement according to the anatomical situation and prosthetic needs, and ordering of an individualized surgical template. Guide supports minimally invasive flapless techniques as well as surgical access through mini-flaps and full flaps, while the surgical template ensures guided and therefore exact implant placement
Stability even in minimum bone volume
By tilting the two posterior implants, longer implants can be used in minimum bone volume, increasing bone-to-implant contact and reducing the need for vertical bone augmentation. The tilted posterior implants can be anchored in better quality anterior bone, reducing cantilevers and thus improving support of the prosthesis.
Increased efficiency
Efficient treatment flow results in shorter treatment times and improved patient satisfaction.
Not only will you have an attractive smile that looks as natural as the real thing, you will be able to eat, chew and speak with confidence. Our clinic team is highly skilled in implant placement and we look forward to answering your questions about it.
Good clinical results
Biomechanical measurements show that tilted implants, when part of prosthetic support, do not have a negative effect on the load distribution. The tilting of implants has been used in clinical clinic for over a decade and has shown good results.

Innovative dentistry
Digital dentistry refers to the use of advanced digital technologies and computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) techniques in various aspects of dental care, including the production of dental restorations like crowns, bridges, and dentures. The adoption of digital dentistry has brought several benefits to the production of dental restorations:
Digital dentistry has revolutionized the production of dental restorations by offering improved precision, efficiency, patient comfort, and customization while reducing errors and waste. It represents a significant advancement in the field of dentistry and is becoming increasingly integral to modern dental practices.
The CEREC (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics) workflow is a modern dental technology that offers several benefits for both dentists and dental patients. It is particularly praised for its efficiency and convenience in delivering restorative dental care. Here's how good the CEREC workflow can be for a dental patient:
Same-Day Restorations
One of the primary advantages of CEREC is that it allows for the creation and placement of dental restorations (such as crowns, veneers, and inlays/onlays) in a single dental visit. Traditional methods often require multiple appointments, with temporary restorations in between. With CEREC, patients can have their dental issues addressed in a single visit, saving time and reducing inconvenience.
Digital Impressions
CEREC employs digital technology to create highly accurate 3D impressions of the patient's teeth. This eliminates the need for traditional, messy impressions using putty-like materials, which many patients find uncomfortable. Digital impressions are more comfortable and quicker to obtain.
Customization
The CEREC system allows for precise customization of restorations. Dentists can digitally design the restoration to ensure it matches the patient's natural tooth color and shape, resulting in aesthetically pleasing outcomes that blend seamlessly with the rest of the teeth.
Minimally Invasive
CEREC restorations often require less removal of healthy tooth structure compared to traditional restorations. This preservation of natural tooth material is important for the long-term health of the tooth.
Durability
CEREC restorations are made from high-quality ceramic materials that are durable and long-lasting. Patients can expect their CEREC restorations to serve them well for many years with proper care.
Reduced Sensitivity
CEREC restorations are known for their excellent fit, which helps minimize post-operative sensitivity, discomfort, and the risk of future complications.
Convenience
Patients appreciate the convenience of having their dental work completed in a single visit, as it reduces the time spent in the dental chair and avoids the need for multiple appointments and temporary restorations.
Improved Communication
CEREC technology allows for better communication between the dentist and patient. Patients can see the digital design of their restoration and understand the treatment plan more clearly.
The digital nature of CEREC reduces the potential for human errors associated with traditional methods like manual impression taking and off-site laboratory fabrication.
Less Chance of Errors
Advanced Technology
CEREC technology continues to evolve, incorporating the latest advancements in dental materials and CAD/CAM (Computer-Aided Design/Computer-Aided Manufacturing) techniques, ensuring patients receive the benefits of cutting-edge dental care.
Overall, for many patients, the CEREC workflow can enhance their dental experience by providing efficient, high-quality restorative dental care in a single visit.
In summary, a digital workflow in dentistry offers numerous advantages for patients, including increased comfort, improved accuracy, customization, convenience, and better communication. It ultimately leads to a more patient-centered and efficient dental care experience, with a focus on providing high-quality and predictable results.
All our dentists adhere to the strict guidelines governing the profession under strict guidance from the General Dental Council (GDC) “Standards for Dental Professionals”.

Step 1
Consultation with your specialist
At your initial consultation in Rothwell, we will examine your teeth and gums and take x-rays of your mouth. Patients need to have healthy gums and sufficient jawbone to support the dental implants.
Simple Steps to Dental Implants
Step 2
Dental implant surgery
On the day of your dental implant surgery, you will come to Trinity Dental in Rothwell where we will make you feel comfortable.
You will be given a local anaesthetic to numb the area of your mouth.
The titanium dental implant will then be gently inserted into your gum.
Step 3
Healing period
For your dental implants to be successful, your mouth and gums are left to heal so that the dental implants can fuse with the jawbone.
This is a vital part of the process and can take between 2 and 6 months.
Step 4
Fitting of Bespoke Restoration
Once we are satisfied that your dental implants have fused to your jawbone and that your gums have healed, we will invite you back to Trinity Dental where we will fit your bespoke crown or bridge. This will be made specially to fit the gap in your mouth and will be colour matched to your other teeth.
Your dental implant journey is now complete, and you can show off your new smile.
What are dental implants in Northamptonshire?
Dental implants are the permanent solution for a single missing tooth or multiple missing teeth. Dental implants can also be used to replace broken or loose teeth.
A dental implant acts as a substitute tooth root and is made up of three parts – the implant, which is embedded gently into your jawbone, the abutment which fixes onto the implant and the final piece is the crown which is the new replacement tooth and is visible when you smile.
At Trinity Dental in Rothwell, we have treated thousands of patients from Market Harborough, Leicester Northampton, Kettering, Rothwell and throughout Northamptonshire for dental implants.
Overdenture implants give more stability than traditional dentures which means your chewing, speech, ability to eat are all improved. There is also no risk of slipping and no need to use denture adhesives
Overdentures are fixed to the dental implants,so they look and feel like natural teeth
Treatment for overdenture implants is minimally invasive
Overdenture implants give you the confidence to smile again and help to enhance the structure of your facial features like your cheek and jawbone which can be affected with missing teeth
Full arch dental implants are the only permanent option to replace missing teeth or teeth that are in very bad condition with a natural-looking new set
Restore your confidence and smile again with all-on-4 dental implants
Full arch dental implants are a more cost-effective way to replace missing teeth rather than using several individual dental implants
Full arch dental implants eliminate any problems that you may have with chewing, eating or talking. It will also enhance the shape of your face which may appear to sag when you have many missing teeth
Durability: Single dental implants are designed to be a long-lasting tooth replacement solution. With proper care and maintenance, they can often last a lifetime.
Aesthetics: Implant-supported crowns are custom-made to match the colour, shape, and size of your natural teeth, providing a highly realistic and natural appearance.
Preservation of Adjacent Teeth: Unlike traditional dental bridges, which require the grinding down of adjacent teeth for support, dental implants do not rely on neighbouring teeth for stability. This helps to preserve the health and integrity of nearby teeth.
Stimulation of Jawbone: Implants stimulate the jawbone, preventing bone loss that can occur when a tooth is missing. This helps maintain the structure and strength of the jaw.
Comfort and Functionality: Implants function like natural teeth, allowing for comfortable chewing and speaking. They do not slip or move like some removable dental prosthetics.
High Success Rate: Dental implant surgery has a high success rate when performed by a skilled and experienced oral surgeon or periodontist. Success rates can exceed 95% in many cases.
Improved Oral Health: Single dental implants are easy to clean and maintain, promoting good oral hygiene. They do not require special cleaning procedures beyond regular brushing and flossing.
Multi-Step Process: Getting a single dental implant typically involves multiple stages, including the initial consultation, implant placement surgery, a healing period (osseointegration), placement of the abutment, and attachment of the crown. The process can take several months to complete.
Cost Considerations: The cost of a single dental implant can vary depending on factors like location, the need for additional procedures (e.g., bone grafting), and the materials used for the crown and implant. It’s essential to discuss costs with your dentist or oral surgeon.
Maintenance: Regular dental check-ups are essential to monitor the health of the implant, gums, and surrounding teeth. Good oral hygiene practices are crucial to ensure the long-term success of the implant.
Candidates: Not everyone is a suitable candidate for dental implants. Factors such as overall health, jawbone density, and oral hygiene habits are considered when determining eligibility for implant placement.
Speed up healing time and is quicker than standard bone graft treatment for dental implants Naturally antibacterial- reduces risk of infection Requires no complex or invasive procedures and is a natural painkiller.
Our Dental Team is fully trained in using PRGF technology, which will give you the best results from our treatments.
